Getting married in the South of France is a dream for many couples, and Château de la Valouze brings that dream to life. Situated near Bordeaux, this stunning estate is set on 34 hectares of peaceful parkland, offering the perfect blend of elegance and charm for your special day. Whether you’re planning a large celebration or an intimate gathering, this château stands out as one of the finest venues for a South of France wedding.
Château de la Valouze offers everything couples could want for their wedding day. Its timeless beauty and luxurious amenities make it a standout venue in the South of France. Here’s what makes it so special:
From start to finish, Château de la Valouze provides an unforgettable experience for couples and their guests.
The morning of your wedding is an exciting and emotional time, and Château de la Valouze provides plenty of beautiful spaces for getting ready. When I photographed Rebecca and Jack’s here in July, Rebecca got ready in one of the upstairs suites. The room’s elegant décor and large windows filled with natural light created the perfect setting for her portraits.
Having so many rooms available means you can enjoy the morning with your bridal party, while your partner and their party prepare in a separate space. It keeps things relaxed and stress-free as you get ready to say “I do.”
One of the highlights of Château de la Valouze is its flexibility for hosting both your ceremony and reception. The estate offers endless possibilities to create a celebration that feels uniquely yours. Rebecca and Jack chose to have their wedding tables set up at the front of the château. The elegant white and gold décor paired beautifully with the grandeur of the building, creating a timeless look that was stunning in photos.
For couples who prefer a garden setting, the estate’s parkland is ideal. Imagine exchanging vows under a canopy of trees or hosting a romantic dinner surrounded by the château’s beautiful gardens.
As a photographer, I can’t recommend Château de la Valouze enough. The venue is a dream for capturing stunning wedding photos. From the grand exterior of the château to the peaceful parkland and elegant interiors, every corner offers a perfect photo opportunity. For Rebecca and Jack, we planned their couple’s portraits during golden hour. The soft, golden light created a romantic atmosphere, and the château served as the perfect backdrop. Whether you prefer outdoor shots in the gardens or intimate moments inside the château, this venue has it all.

The South of France is one of the most romantic destinations in the world, and it’s easy to see why so many couples choose it for their wedding.
If you’re planning a South of France wedding, Château de la Valouze is a venue that truly has it all. Its elegant setting, luxurious accommodations, and stunning surroundings make it an unforgettable place to celebrate your love.
As someone who has photographed here, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re drawn to its timeless architecture, its peaceful gardens, or its versatility as a venue, Château de la Valouze offers everything you need for a magical day.
If you’re looking for a photographer to capture your destination wedding in the South of France, I’d love to hear from you.
